A lady along with her two daughters came to me asking (for some alms), BUT she found nothing with me except date-fruit which I gave to her and she divided it between her two daughters,

A lady along with her two daughters came to me asking (for some alms), BUT she found nothing with me except date-fruit which I gave to her and she divided it between her two daughters,
and did not eat anything herself, and
then she got up and went away.
Then the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) came in and I informed him about this story, to which he said:
"Whoever is put to trial by his/her daughters & he treats them generously (with benevolence) then
then she got up and went away.
Then the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) came in and I informed him about this story, to which he said:

these daughters will act as a shield for him from Hell-Fire." (See Hadith No. 24, Vol. 8).

the girl child is. In several places, the Prophet (SAW) has shown how training two or more girl child with love & mercy from birth to their maturity will assure one entrance to Jannah or shield him from fire.
Do not abuse a girl child, treat her with honor & respect.

If you find yourself having mixed feelings that your wife gives birth to only girls, be rest assured that you still have some elements of Jahiliyya in you. Sometimes, it is your daughter's that ll benefit you here in this world & Hereafter more than the sons. May Allah guide us.
Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas (RA):
The Prophet (SAW) said:
"If anyone has a female child, and does not bury her alive, or slight her, or prefer his male children to her, Allah will bring him into Paradise."

Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said:
Whoever has three daughters and he accommodates them, show mercy toward them, and supports them, Paradise is definitely guaranteed for him.
Thus, someone asked the Prophet,

Thus, someone asked the Prophet,
what if they are two daughters only
He replied, “[He gets that reward,] even if they are [only] two.“
Some of those present believed that had the Prophet been asked about only one daughter, he would have answered that the reward was applicable too.

Uqbah ibn Aamir narrated, I heard the Prophet (SAW) say:
“Whoever has three daughters & is patient towards them, feeds them, gives them to drink, & clothes them from his wealth; they will be a shield for him from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection.”

Anas (RA) reported:
The Prophet (pbuh) said,
“Whoever supports two girls till they attain maturity, he and I will come on the Day of Resurrection (close to each other) like this –The Messenger of Allah joined his fingers to illustrate closeness.”
