1 HR & CE employees took Hindu Pledge on Wednesday during lockdown period – Reports Times of India. @Indumakalktchi @ReclaimTemples Madras High Court in its order dated 3.3.32020 in WP.No.30220 of 2019 filed by me ordered that 
2 all employees of HR & CE department should take pledge that they are Hindus by birth and that they continue to profess Hindu Religion. As per news item published in Times of India, Yesterday, all employees of HR & CE department took Pledge mandated under the HR & CE Act
3 We are in the lockdown period and temples are still closed for darshan. It is not clear how the pledge taking ceremony was allowed during such a pandemic lockdown period. Anyway, as a petitioner, I will visit the Commissioner, HR & CE once the lockdown is lifted and
4 ascertain the exact status, whether employees in all the regions of Tamilnadu took the pledge. I will also inspect the pledges taken by the employees. Pledges of individual employees, irrespective of the place where they are working, should be kept along with their
5 service records in the head office at Chennai. I request all Hindu devotees visiting temples:- Please ask everyone working in the temple whether they executed the pledge as mentioned above. Further, if you come to know that a non-Hindu is working in any temple,
6 please collect the details of such person and intimate me. I will bring it to the attention of the court. We need to make people working in all temples aware of the legal requirement that they should be Hindus by birth and they continue to profess/practice Hindu Religion.
7 They can work in temples so long as they are Hindus. The moment they stop practising Hindu Religion – one example is conversion from Hindu Religion to another religion – their employment , whether it is permanent or temporary, in the temple will come to an end.
