Hmmm, besides this being another student loan fraud scheme, this sounds awfully like a cult.

Brenda Joyce Hall of NC, who lived with others at a placed called "The Ranch," that was operated by a tent revival preacher, was charged w/ wire & student loan fraud & identity theft.

Hall lived at "The Ranch" with related families and other outsiders along with their children.

The unnamed Ranch owner owned some fish markets.

Hall ran a home school from the ranch, and also worked at the fish markets and at "The Ranch."

Hall & others solicited people living at "The Ranch" to enroll online at Wake Technical Community College, but most of them never graduated high school nor did they complete Hall's home schooling.

Hall created fake high school transcripts using her home school as the high school.

She sent those fake transcripts to Wake Tech to enroll people at Wake Tech to get a total of $700K federal student aid.

Hall & a few others would attend classes for them.

They ended up with a lot of leftover money from student loan aid.

Hall & others then used that leftover student loan money to fund "The Ranch," the fish markets, and other businesses.

Must be nice!

Well, there it is! From 2018 - 10 people were charged at a religious commune for forced CHILD LABOR! Particularly at the fish markets. This one's called the "McCollum Ranch" but it has to be the same one.
