I noticed that the DNC lawsuit contains some additional information on an intriguing paragraph in Mueller indictment of hackers, which had stated that hackers (X-Agent) stayed on DNC system until Oct 2016. justice.gov/file/1080281/d…
2/ in its Amended Complaint of Oct 3, 2018, courtlistener.com/docket/6368549… DNC stated that X-Agent placed on DNC backup server in Virginia on Jun 10, 2016 (under Crowdstrike's nose), discovered by Crowdstrike on Oct 21, 2016 when it attempted to communicate with linuxkrnl[.net
3/ DNC observed that "a few hours" after malware installed on backup server, DNC instituted firewall rule preventing server from communicating outside DNC network to limit damage of hack. Why didn't Crowdstrike do this on May 5 when it arrived??

2/ The Dec 29 technical information, which was jointly published by DHS and FBI, us-cert.gov/sites/default/…, had been expected to settle any and all skepticism by Trump and others of the intel community’s (then merely asserted) attribution of DNC hack to Russian state actors.
3/ I remember reading report in real time and being appalled its inadequacy. Indeed, its apparent incompetence led me to start looking critically and analytically at other documents. In retrospect, it's even worse than I originally thought.

this feedback loop looks important and understudied to me. Simpson got Fusion Brian Ross of ABC to write about and interview Millian in Jul 2016. More or less simultaneously, Steele memorandum framed Millian as Source E for key allegation of collusion betw Trump campaign, Russia
Steele claims that his information came from mysterious Primary Sub-Source, who (almost certainly) had no contact with Millian, later fabricating story to FBI about a single anonymous telephone call which he attributed to Millian for no obvious reason. Call prob imaginary.
This sequence of fabrications is a lot easier to pin down than equally fantastic stories purported to originate in dark alleys in Moscow, passed by tradecraft. On what basis is Primary Sub-Source entitled to confidentiality, while Flynn was unmasked to world for doing his job.

while Ukraine was already corrupt, its corruption seems to have increased exponentially with as waves of IMF billions washed into the country. This money was a lot easier to embezzle, compared to trying to squeeze a few more kopecks from poor Ukrainians.
2/ but it worked out just as the same, as the already poor Ukrainian population were saddled with billions of IMF debt, much, if not most, of which was either embezzled, wasted or to promote vanity.
3/ Biden and Poroshenko snickered at the political groups which wanted to turn down the IMF money. Both did whatever they could to keep the funnel open. But did these loans actually benefit ordinary Ukrainians? A legitimate question.
