So, a national lockdown, w/continued delays of necessary health exams & medical procedures, forced unemployment & mass poverty, skyrocketing depression, family conflict & emotional trauma is the right response to a virus that will kill far less than 0.1% of the world's population
Not to mention, that as in Neera’s case, MANY have bowed to the “science gods” and to state govts’ tyrannical power grabs and have stayed home, worn masks, washed hands, sanitized home surfaces and their mail - all the “right” things - yet, they have still contracted the virus.
It’s also absurd for Krugman to postulate that we, at any point, ever, in history, have all been safe. Or that there is even the remotest possibility that we can, ever, all be safe. Just as inane is to suggest that if every single one of us is not safe, NONE of us are safe
And oh - Paul Krugman is a f**king pretentious, vacuous imbecile devoid of logic, ignorant of the principle of causation, and woefully unequipped with critical thinking skills.
