I believe Andrew Scheer likes to hear himself talk. I wonder if he records himself & then watches himself talking in parliament to gaze in wonder at his mastery of elocution?

There is nothing he says that is relevant to Canadian politics or essential to opposition’s role.

A snivelling obstructionist marveling at his assortment of ideological, irrational and irrelevant commentary that rings true in his base supporters ears. Free markets, Magna Carta, the glorious British empire, essential influence of the pandemic response. What guff!?

One might begin to ponder if conservatives are heralding the second coming in the form of a paleolibertarian deity emerging from within their midst. There has been the suggestion that Harper reprise his leadership “expertise.”

Scheer’s bloviated canned speech from an empty morally repugnant poor excuse for a politician, but a loyal puppet, nonetheless, is supposed to convince Canadians that his ideological railing and partisan obstructionism is an essential service? Ha!

The only thing essential in Scheer’s well rehearsed speech in parliament today is ear plugs to fend off mind numbing boredom and prevent harmful neurological reverberations to the point of insanity.

Scheer is using Harper’s speech writers, to be sure.

But Scheer’s whiny snivelling presentation style is no match for Harper’s blend of steely, emotionless detachment and revival preacher condescension.

Scheer’s like a stereotypical snarling chihuahua in comparison to Harper’s indifferent and bully-like bulldog.

That’s why Scheer has been duly fired. He can not quite raise the ire of loyal base supporters and condemn the politics and actions of liberals without looking like a pipsqueak.

MacKay’s strongman routine & O’Toole’s over reliance on his military past reveal that clearly.

MacKay is more like a Doberman and O’Toole is conjuring Rottweiler vibes.

Such effort to project virile aggression and defense capacity.

Patriarchal imagery and branding is so silly sometimes.

Pandemics and viruses do not respond to steely eyed bull dogs, calculating & vicious Dobermans or rabid Chihuahuas & Rottweilers.

And neither do Canadians. Canada’s essential politicians need scientific expertise, calm rational consideration of facts, compassion & dedication.

A pack of wolves isn’t essential to survival in a pandemic. Disease isn’t fought on a battlefield.

Solutions are scientifically and evidenced based. So are economic solutions.

It’s no wonder Scheer works so hard to sell his access to a parliamentary platform is essential...

Dog whistling is so much more effective from parliament. Magnificent clips can be created for click baiting & other forms of ideological reinforcement.

Scheer’s snivelling isn’t essential to governance. It’s essential to keeping the base supporters well supplied with red meat.

It would be preferable to eliminate canine-like influence in Canadian politics. The break from daily doses of incendiary BS was refreshing yet ephemeral for those who think beyond ideological tropes.

Ah, but CPC can’t help themselves, they keep offering dog whistlers.

I wonder if Harper’s uninspired conservatives are familiar with the old adage “lay down with dogs, get up with fleas?”

I suspect not.
