That’s what we are up against. Human beings are no more worth to big industries than a cow is to a cattle rancher. Your value is determined by how much you can earn for the owners. You’re human capital, not a person.
LTC residents, the disabled, prisoners, low income, essential infrastructure workers, Temporary Foreign Workers, the health compromised. They require investment and cost capital to maintain. And they don’t really produce much. Many cost more than their human capital.
Pay attention to the cuts to socially beneficial services. Who are they harming most? The most vulnerable.
Interesting that Kenney and Shandro are attacking & eliminating rural healthcare. Apparently rural folk are not important human capital to keep healthy.
