We’re going to be expected to spend the next several months pretending like Biden doesn’t have a long history of issues on race. The media, and assorted Biden shills, will be hard at work pretending that Biden’s history doesn’t exist. Like he’s a fresh candidate.
We’re not going to hear about Joe Biden referring to Barack Obama as “the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy”

cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/…
Or Joe Biden declaring that “You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent”

content.time.com/time/specials/…
No no, crazy Uncle Joe declaring that if you’re black you can’t think for yourself or disagree with Democrats is just an out-of-character slip-up. Totally. Except for the rest of his racist comments over decades.
Totally out of character for a man who opposed busing by explaining that school integration was bad for black people washingtonexaminer.com/politics/joe-b…
A man who sponsored the bill that one of the Brown v. Board lawyers described as “heaves a brick through the window of school integration”

nbcnews.com/news/nbcblk/jo…
The man who told a paper that he “didn’t buy” the argument that white people held back black people for 300 years and so now black people need help getting an advantage washingtonpost.com/politics/biden…
A man who derided such affirmative action plans by saying “I’ll be damned if I feel responsible to pay for what happened 300 years ago.”

washingtonpost.com/politics/biden…
A man who said that integration would create a “racial jungle”

businessinsider.com/biden-said-des…
A man who actively sought the political support of politicians who referred to blacks as “an inferior race”

cnn.com/2019/04/11/pol…
But no, you’re right, Biden saying something problematic about black people is an aberration and totally not him. Other than the more than four decades of Joe Biden statements and actions that are problematic about black people.
All of these stories, do note, were fine to talk about during the primary. Because there were more exciting progressive candidates who could get nominated instead. But now that it’s him or the Republican incumbent? The left and media will close ranks and whitewash the past.
While pretending that 2020 is a choice between David Duke and Thurgood Marshall’s long-lost white twin.
