Joseph D. Brown, the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas, will be resigning on May 31, 2020 to pursue other opportunities.
He didn't say where he would be going next, but said some of his opportunities will "become apparent in the coming days.” 
AG Barr appointed Stephen J. Cox as US Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas, in place of Joseph Brown, who is leaving on May 31.
