LOOKING FOR REVIEWERS! 🤓
We have just submitted a detailed description of 9500 Danish #COVID19 patients using the nationwide Danish health registries.
We are looking for INPUT from #epitwitter and others.
Details in THREAD below.

We would love to receive input to our work, allowing us to prepare the best paper possible. It is currently submitted for review, and any useful input will be implemented into the revised manuscript (once we, fingers crossed, get to that part…)
Comments / suggestions can be provided directly at @medrxivpreprint (using the link above) or via mail to corresponding author (see the .pdf-paper).
We obviously cannot guarantee that we'll implement every suggestion made, but we promise to carefully consider all input!
We are THRILLED to try this out. And quite frankly, also a little scared. But we are very much looking forward to seeing where this takes us!
OK – so a bit more info on the actual paper and our thoughts on the analyses. Buckle up...
The paper is a collaboration from all over Denmark, including @SUND_SDU, @DCEAarhus, @SSI_DK, @LMSTdk and others. We formed a nationwide collaboration between academia and regulators that is described in more detail here.

The paper is the first nationwide capture of all Danish COVID-19 patients. This work will establish the foundation to do more analyses later such as safety of use of selected medicines in #COVID19. We include all Danes with a positive (and negative) SARS-CoV-2 test.
One key challenge is that we have analysed associations, which cannot -and should not- simply be interpreted causally. Here's one discussion of this from @EpiEllie that we read and discussed quite a bit before writing up the discussion.
We learned a lot about the data material, e.g. when people get their #COVID19 test relative to admission, ICU or death.
(Side note: Such changes in pt characteristics over time really needs to be taken into account when the material is used for analyses of e.g. drug safety! This, and other methodological considerations, are discussed in more detail here…)

As we have packed a lot of stuff into the paper, we could keep going like this all day. But it’s all in there, so you can use the link in the first tweet to check out the full results and all the nitty gritty details...
We really look forward to the input you can give. On behalf of @MReilev, @kasbkristensen, @dr_rwt and all of our co-authors: Give us your best shot !
