Corporate journo tries to call out citizen for not wearing a mask

But cameraman themselves is not wearing a mask

Corporate journalists are completely unprepared for having camera turned on them

Citizens should always record encounters with reporters

PS: please wear a mask!
This is a great example of reproducible journalism.

You cannot trust a report by any corporate news outlet on faith. You need to triangulate it against other sources, prior knowledge, and ideally contemporaneous primary evidence.

The second video tells a different story.
It’s also an example of societal dysfunction.

Everyone should’ve been wearing a mask, including the citizen taking the video & the cameraman.

But if mask-wearing is perceived as elite sanctimony rather than shared sacrifice in the service of public health, it’ll be resisted.
Corporate journalists perceive themselves as self-appointed police, so you should treat them as such.

Default to caution
Record every interaction
Choose to remain silent

Unlike the police they have no democratic accountability, but as a citizen you can turn the camera around.
