Now the issue of who can write what to their databases and when is a question of international importance.

The most powerful people in the world have root access.

Recent events in the US aren’t unnoticed abroad. People around the world are realizing how up-for-grabs many things are.

We are entering a period of great instability and decentralization.
This was a funny tweet a month ago. The reply was prescient.
People went from arguing over whether going out for coffee was safe to riots and curfews in the span of a week.

One thing to keep in mind is the complete neck-snapping whiplash of the last few days may not be the last reversal of 2020.
