Police were called when Floyd allegedly tried to use a forged cheque at a grocery store. They say he resisted arrest. They then proceeded to choke him to death.
The officer's name is Derek Chauvin. The other officer is Tou Thao.

After kneeling, with all his weight, on George Floyd's neck for five minutes, officer Chauvin had killed him. The police officers involved in this killing have been fired, but are yet to be arrested for murder.
There are currently large scale protests in Minneapolis now. People have march to the police station.
