"China has deployed an estimated 1,200-1,500 soldiers in the almost eyeball-to-eyeball confrontation at the different sites in ... Ladakh spread across a broad frontage of the LAC [&] diverted at least 5,000 soldiers towards the border from an exercise"

"Meanwhile, there has been no scaling down of tensions on the LAC in eastern Ladakh ... Sources said the [Indian] Army had increased its presence on the boundary with China in North Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, along with Ladakh"
indianexpress.com/article/india/…
"Sources said the Chinese, who crossed the LAC at three places, have refused to move out of Indian territory or de-escalate the tensions. In Galwan valley, the Chinese have massed troops on their side of the LAC."
indianexpress.com/article/india/…
"from China’s standpoint, the reactivation by India of landing grounds and the completion last year of the Durbuk-Shyok-Daulet Beg Oldi road that runs parallel to the LAC have significantly improved India’s position in the balance of capabilities ..." thehindu.com/news/national/…
.@fravel: "Chinese maps that I have seen show almost all of the Galwan River as lying within the territory China claims in the area. The one discrepancy would be the western tip of the Galwan River as it meets the Shyok River" thehindu.com/news/national/…
"The [Indian] sources said at no point have the Chinese crossed the Chinese Claim Line (CCL) ... [But] in the larger Hot Springs area and the Pangong river side, the CCL extends into the Indian territory and this is where the Chinese have come in." theprint.in/defence/india-…
"China on Wednesday reiterated that its stance on the border issues with India is consistent and clear, stressing that the situation in China-India border area is "overall stable and controllable."..." news.cgtn.com/news/2020-05-2…
Yet another view. "Chinese soldiers are said to have “come in” by about 3 km into territory [Hot Springs] that India perceives as its own ... have not crossed their claim line in these areas, but ... are about 3 km within India’s perception of the LAC." theprint.in/defence/india-…
On @ThePrintIndia's latest account, China has not crossed its own claim-line in Galwan or anywhere else. But in Hot Springs (between Galwan & Pangong) claim-lines overlap so much that China has some 3km+ over India's claim-line without exceeding its own?
Image of the Hot Springs area, with a yellow reference line to show approximately how far 4km would extend.
'... “From Australia to Hong Kong to Taiwan to the South China Sea to India and right up to the US, a bellicose China is staring at the world for domination at all costs,” said a senior government official after a meeting convened by ... Narendra Modi' hindustantimes.com/india-news/pm-…
The latest Hindustan Times account. "China has moved two brigade strength of People’s Liberation Army, over 6000 soldiers and support elements, at four locations in eastern Ladakh, three in the Galwan Valley and one near Pangong Lake." hindustantimes.com/india-news/ind…
The suggestion here is clearly that India is not happy with the status quo, and wants a change. "The [Indian] sources maintained that China will have to withdraw troops from forward positions along the LAC, and from areas where they have transgressed" theprint.in/defence/india-…
'Although the effort is to resolve the situation “locally”, where troops move back to their original positions in “7-10 days”, Delhi’s position is that the “Chinese troops ... have crossed over” and the “Indian troops are on the India side of the LAC” ...' indianexpress.com/article/india/…
