By 2/3/2020 scientists from Imperial, including Ferguson had told them that a series of measures were needed to prevent escalation, otherwise 250,000 deaths possible.

That individual measures such as closing schools, Social distance, cancelling events insufficient in their own.

A combination of measures needed to be effective but Johnson dithered, gave messages that the situation was not serious, that it was business as usual.

Imagine KNOWING that the rate of progression was doubling quickly and in the community, WHO. making it cclear that a pandemic was high risk.

I saw various people saying they “got” COVID at Cheltenham.

Much more likely that Londoners where it was already multiplying (including in Parl) dragged COVID to Cheltenham and back again.

Cheltenham and SW had a low incidence beforehand.
