6/ Could it happen? Robinhood traders increased many fold last few months. What happens when all retail traders and all algos try to sell at the same time? Selling at market means nothing when there is no one bidding. Price can drop far and fast before a buyer is discovered.
7/ We never know what causes these things. No one knew back in Nov/Dec that a virus is going to pop the bubble. But patterns ARE predictive and history repeats.
8/ Realistically, look around. Depression level unemployment developing, GDP down 40%, China tensions high, major businesses going bankrupt, etc. Do you SERIOUSLY think the market is really reflecting what is going on? Or even that the FED can truly fix this in a matter of weeks?
