Haven't ever heard of a SaaS company offering 5 year plan before, and in just over a day almost 900 folks have said they would buy it - many saying its a no-brainer.

Had a call with a world class fund today (great call too! Not throwing shade!), where a partner gave a LOT of pushback to 5 year plan.
"You're giving steepest discount to the most committed users... lot of lost revenue... why not just open up your round now?"

Tactical reasons - control our own destiny, not be at whim of finacial markets or VC timelines.
Larger reason is faith though
Paying 5 years up front is huge signal of faith in the company & product vision. No interest in playing $ opt game with user's financing Roam's future
