Three independent sources indicate that @necsa_Ltd board yesterday authorised chairman @DavidNi79646904 to seek approval of @Energy_ZA minister @GwedeMantashe1 to reappoint suspended & later dismissed former CEO Phumzile Tshelane as a consultant to NECSA on a 6 month contract.

Ketlaphela Pharmaceuticals is a subsidiary of Pelchem, a company in deep financial distress, which is, in turn, a subsidiary of the NECSA Group, a company also in severe financial distress that has received damning qualified audits for the last 2 financial years.
Sources indicate Finance Minister @tito_mboweni is sitting on a proposal to give Ketlaphela Pharmaceuticals a 2-year monopoly for the import of ARVs from India into SA, while arrangements are made with the Indian ARV supplier to set up a local ARV manufacturing facility in SA.
NECSA chairman @DavidNi79646904 acknowledged that the board had considered offering fired former CEO Phumzile Tshelane a substantial sum in settlement of all issues & litigation against @necsa_Ltd by Tshelane, which proposal is understood to have been rejected by Tshelane.
It has been suggested that the proposal for fired former @necsa_Ltd CEO Tshelane to be reappointed as consultant to NECSA, which the board authorised the NECSA chairman to present to @Energy_ZA minister @GwedeMantashe1 for approval, may be some kind of settlement in disguise.
However @necsa_Ltd board chairman @DavidNi79646904 flatly denied that an amount of R13m, or indeed any amount, had been discussed or agreed upon as remuneration to the fired former NECSA CEO Phumzile Tshelane for a limited term consulting contract with NECSA of about 6 months.
NECSA board chairman @DavidNi79646904 did however indicate that it is critical for the debilitating ongoing dispute by fired former @necsa_Ltd CEO Tshelane to be settled urgently, to enable a new permanent CEO to be appointed for the embattled Nuclear Energy Corporation of SA.
