This MLK quote has circulated endlessly to justify riotous violence. But it misrepresents his stance.
From the same 1966 60 Minutes interview:
"I would hope that we can avoid riots... Riots are self-defeating and socially destructive."
"I will never change in my basic idea that non-violence is the most potent weapon available... in [the] struggle for freedom and justice. To turn to violence would be both impractical and immoral."

But he never condoned violence. And he knew it wasn't a useful tool.
Peace is the most potent weapon.
I don't care how many followers I lose; I'll keep proudly shouting out for peace.
But if you're expecting anything else you should unfollow me. Follow misguided voices of violence instead. You're never gonna find that on this feed.
