On the night MLK was killed, Petey Greene stayed on the radio airwaves to talk to and sooth an angry Black community in Washington, DC. Right now Black America, and the nation at large, is in pain. And where is Black media? For the most part, silent. 1/4
We don't have a national Black talk radio network. Our Black cable networks are all showing entertainment, save for Revolt, which recently launched a weekly Black News show. There is Black News Channel, but their footprint is so small it's not significant.2/4
There is no outlet for Black folks to be able to share, talk and discuss. I have ordered my #RolandMartinUnfiltered team to find a digital solution for us to be able to talk and share as a nation. I'll give you more details tomorrow. 3/4
It may be a phone line, Zoom, frankly, I don't know. But we need our own place to come and talk, share, heal, vent and discuss. I'll be happy to partner with @BET @tvonetv @revolttv @Oprah @OWNTV @Blavity @theGrio @TheRoot @TheSource or anyone else. ALL HANDS ON DECK 4/4

THIS comment by white Democrat @RepCartwright PISSES ME OFF. He said this in a @washingtonpost story on @KamalaHarris & @amyklobuchar getting a close look from @JoeBiden for VP: "“I think identity politics only gets you so far. What people really want to know is 1/4
are we going to have an effective team in the White House.” So by reading this, @RepCartwright chalks up the talk of a Black or Latina as @JoeBiden's VP as being "identity politics" yet @amyklobuchar is being talked up because she can appeal to white voters in the Midwest. 2/4
What @RepCartwright and other white folks need to get through their heads is that their use of "identity politics" isn't just about Black and brown. That phrase also includes white voters. Yet they love to use it as a negative against us. Is a woman VP "identity politics"? 3/4

So @YNB @CapehartJ, this is how we use the green screen. I use an external camera because I don’t like those on the computer. In my case, a @CanonUSA XA-25. Instead of using my @Skype recording, I use the one on the camera. 1/7 #RolandMartinUnfiltered
I run a mini HDMI to HDMI cable out of the camera into the @elgatogaming CamLink stick elgato.com/en/gaming/cam-…. This allows @Skype to see the camera. I hate the laptop mic, so I run @movophoto lavalier XLR mic into the camera 2/7 #RolandMartinUnfiltered
Now I have quality audio. amazon.com/dp/B016V12XW4?… In @Skype, I tell it to use the CamLink mic. I use AirPods or @SOLREPUBLIC wireless earbuds to hear the person talking. How do I record the @Skype or FaceTime? @ecammtweets Call Recorder. 3/7 #RolandMartinUnfiltered
