Brigadier Ijaz Ahmed Shah is not new to spotlight, albeit always for wrong reasons. A former Pakistani Spy involved in harbouring terrorists, now serving as Pakistan's Minister for Interior. He reflects all that's wrong with Pakistan's sham military-led government. An analysis:
2.When Musharraf imposed martial law in 1999.Shah was the director of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in Punjab, Pakistan. Thereby, becoming an important ally in Musharraf’s team reshape the politics of the region. He was eventually made the Home Sec. of Punjab by Musharraf
3.Musharraf directed Shah, the then new home secretary of Punjab and set him at ‘political engineering’. Shah embarked on the creation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) faction, which was carved out of the-then-existing Muslim League led by Nawaz Sharif.

4.Then, Shah was behind kidnappings, torture and intimidating several leading members in Sharif’s party, including his close aides like Senator Pervez Rasheed and Rana Sanaullah. these politicians were brutally tortured in secret prisons/safehouse’s to forcefully switch sides.
5.He is the ISI handler of Kashmiri terrorist Omar Saeed Sheikh who is linked to the 9/11 attacks, beheading of Daniel Pearl & multiple terrorist activities in India & beyond. Shah, helped delayed his arrest in 2002 & influenced his acquittal in the Daniel Pearl case (2020).
6. In 2004, when Musharraf nominated Shah as High Commissioner to Australia “he was rejected by Canberra, it is understood, out of concern over his links to terrorists.” And yet in June 2005, Shah “was a prominent member of Musharraf’s entourage on a state visit to Australia.
7.Shah served as the Director General of Pakistan's Intelligence Bureau from 2004-2008, a period when his name surfaced in many heinous crimes including kidnapping, torture, & crimes against women & children. He was also accused of using the IB for 'political victimisation'.
8.Ex-Pakistani PM Benazir Bhutto alleged that “Brigadier Shah was conspiring with terrorists to assassinate her" naming him in a letter, as someone who should be investigated if she was killed. Shah was in charge of Bhutto’s security, it failed on the night she was killed in 2007
9.Shah’s name hd also appeared in an email of an American friend of Benazir Bhutto.Listing him as an accused along with some others, including the then Punjab CM, Sindh CM and former ISI chief Hamid Gul as suspects. But none of them was named in the FIR of Benazir Bhutto’s murder
10. In a 2012 television interview former head of ISI, Ziauddin Butt in a 2012 television interview said that, “I fully believe that "Ijaz Shah" had kept d most wanted terrorist (Osama bin Laden) in Abbottabad with the full knowledge of Pervez Musharraf.” bit.ly/3eMgUNB
11.His recent appointments in 2019, as first Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and then Minister of Interior in Imran Khan's cabinet tells us a lot about who runs the show in Pakistan and that the civilian government is a smokescreen for a criminal syndicate.
12.If this wasn't enough, he was also being considered as NSA of Pakistan, a role that shows his military & terrorist links to the present Pakistan Government.
