China, a country which has been on everybody's sword to somehow annexe its existence and social presence worldwide.
India, a country which is seen as a strong substitute for the wave of anti-chinese (CPC and not its people) sentiment all around also sees a surge of NATIONALISM.
Since there has been a standoff between the armies/forces on the border between India and China, mainly at Pangong Tso lake, this has issued an anti-chinese sentiment yet again in the Indian mindsets.
We can openly see a baloon of BOYCOTT chinese products everywhere.
TRUTH ?
India and China, two countries with supreme work forces, a large population, infinite labour force at a low price but two different 'POLITICAL WORLD' altogether.
What china saw in form of its uprisings in economy, India never saw it and we have to agree to it.
The ties between the two economic giants were established in 1980's between the ever existing territorial disputes with each other.
There should be no doubt regarding this fact that the Indian government in that era was a socialist supporter untill 1991 reforms.
1991 reforms took us to LPG (Liberalisation, Privatization and globalisation) which surged Indian economy at a good pace as well as made the competitiveness be felt in the Indian market.
This saw a good inflow of foreign, mostly chinese good into our market.
In May 2020, our PM, Narendra Modi, came out with an Idea of "AATMANIRBHAR BHARAT" and Vocal for Locla which is a very good initiative and a long term gold scheme, but this has been seen as a threat and Boycott of Globalisation that Indian market had achieved in the years.
Now let us see and dig into some realities of the bilateral relations between India and China.
China's export to India increased by 2.1% from 2018, to that in 2019 at a sum of 515.63 bn ¥ while the import to China from India decrease by 0.2% to 123.89 bn ¥.
Comparison Below.
Another aspect to these figures is the increasing trade deficit between the two countries which is as large as ~52% when in terms of trade between India and China.
Now, as we have seen the amount of dependence India has which are in terms of electronics at the largest with, steel, iron, nuclear reactors, plastics for households there remains a big "QUESTION MARK" as to what should be the correct direction to Indian progress.
The 20 lakh crore package that is announced by the GOI as we all know now, is more or less a step towards a light in the darkness because somewhere in the shadow of COVID 19, the world and our country has realised our dependence on China.
There is a path, but a one which is slow
India, a country with the least labour cost and standard of living, yet we dont have even half of FDI, which china enjoys, this is just not because we as Indians have never wanted to go local, but the infrastructure of the country and the options don't go with us. WAGE OF LABOURFDI of world
There has been an influx of nationalist feeling which has been associated with boycotting Chinese appe/products which are as bogus as secularism in Pakistan.
When we say, uninstalling the chinese app in the name and sake that it is 'chinese' and that so it should be banned, this takes us to a question, all the apps and services are just not circulating money in our economy but creating employment to many on and off screen.
This figure tells us an exact idea of how much investment and in turn revenue or employment has been generated in this regard, this certainly means, we need better infrastructure and options such that as a consumer just not us, world makes India the priority.
