UPDATE: On Wedneday, another Congressional candidate in Georgia, began running an Faceboook ad advocating violence

In the ad, Green cocks a semi-automatic rifle while she delivers a message to “ANTIFA terrorists”: “Stay the hell out of Northwest Georgia”

2. Like the ad from Paul Broun, Facebook did not do anything about this ad until I emailed them about it this afternoon.

A few hours later, the company removed it.

But, by then, it had already been shown 50,000 to 60,000 times to Georgia voters.

3. While Facebook removed the ad, they did not respond to my request for comment.

But they have a serious problem with politicians paying them money to distribute violent content.

These ads are being run by two major Facebook pages with over 1 million followers each.

Collectively, the two t-shirt companies have spend millions on Facebook ads.
I'm going to ask Facebook if these ads violate their policies.

We'll see what they say.

But they've shown an inability to identify these ads themselves.

1. The internal revolt at Facebook is the result of its contradictory messages colliding

Facebook has pitched itself to employees as a progressive & inclusive company

Meanwhile, its public policy team is run by GOP operatives focused on placating Trump

It's a massive gamble
