🚨 As Brexit round 4 starts on Tuesday, European parliament says EU has no legal duty to give UK trade privileges offered to others. theguardian.com/politics/2020/…
Document also states that EU is "sovereign" (now who said that first...) and has “the right to propose the commitments that are in its interest”.

No big surprises (and the EP isn't in the negotiating room) but shows how EU position is cementing ahead of talks.
EU expectations of "high-level conference" expected between Boris Johnson and Ursula Von der Leyen (not the EU27) are pretty low.
