The dog was stolen out of a rescue's yard. He was returned to the rescue dead, found strung up by the neck and tied to a fence.
Apparently the rescue this happened to is afraid to address it for fear of retaliation. Will try to confirm.

I can't find any confirmation that the puppy is dead besides a few rescue pages. I'll look again in the morning.
BUT, my original statement about animal abusers stands. And flinging your dog around by its neck on TV is disgusting. :)
