We must also train ourselves not to feel personally attacked when issues that are being disucessd in order to proffer solutions to our collective problems affect us directly. None of us is Saint and we need to work collectively to address our common problems with sincerity.

Zina (adultery and fornication) is a problem and the aim of the Shariah is not to keep applying the capital punishment on the adulterer and the adulteress, the aim is to prevent its occurrence. Hence, Allaah says "Do not approach Zina".
This principle is deeply enshrined in the Shariah. Blocking the means to what has been prohibited to avoid doing the prohibited. Starve the means and the end will not be a reality.
