(Not to mistake with Gopuram, which is entrance/doorway to the Praakaaram (compound) of the temple, Praakaaram is common in Dravida Temples but not in Nagara Temples)
If it is main entrance it is called – Mukha Bhadra.
If their entrances from two sides or three sides, they are called – Dwi Bhadra or Tri Bhadra.
If there are entrances from all four sides, then they are called – “Sarvotobhadra” temples.
If their entrances from two sides or three sides, they are called – Dwi Bhadra or Tri Bhadra.
If there are entrances from all four sides, then they are called – “Sarvotobhadra” temples.
Entrance from four sides to religious places is not a new phenomenon in India, its there for centuries.
This beautiful Mukha Bhadra is from Virupaksha Temple Pattadakkal flanked by dwarapalas.
They are Kaala & Mahakaala.

Even the Dwarapalas change based on which side/direction the Bhadra is.
Dwarapalas are not same on entrances of all the sides/directions. They differ.
