Today, we just read whatever scriptures British standardized and gave to us. Most of them are questionable. The edition of Mahabharat available today does claim that everyone in Dwarka including Balaram got into vices and drinking and teasing. Eventually Krishna killed all. 2/n
It further claims that all women of Dwarka were kidnapped by dacoits as Arjun could not save them.
Overall, it seems specially added to present Krishna as a total failure and frustrated person.

The modern Mahabharat has a sudden anti-climax. Similarly, many verses in Ramayan appear deliberately added to belittle our Dharma. Apart from Vedas, that were preserved due to Paatha Vidhi, every scripture must be critically evaluated. We cannot trust British versions. 4/n
If an ancient manuscript or a living tradition cannot be ascertained, we must reject every part of scripture that is against reason or Vedic Dharma. Else we leave a void for fake Kathavachaks to replace Ram Ram with Allah u Akbar or Jesus Bless you. 5/n
