Here’s how I’m working to demand answers and accountability this week:

I’m calling for Barr’s resignation—and for an investigation into any Justice Department officials involved in this gross display of propaganda and the violence that preceded it.

I'm supporting Tim Kaine’s NDAA amendment to ban the use of military force against civilians. We've seen too many weapons of war used against peaceful protestors and military forces patrolling our streets. It's morally reprehensible—and should be illegal.

I’m also introducing an NDAA amendment to create an Office for Civil Rights at the Pentagon to hold the Department of Defense accountable when it violates Americans’ civil rights or discriminates against them based on race, ethnicity, or religion.

This is just a start—and I’m in this for the long haul. Congress is responsible for holding this administration accountable—and anyone refusing to condemn their reckless, racist, and authoritarian actions shares responsibility for the consequences.
