We always complain about all US presidents, but by and large they have been outstanding. It is only when the US has a truly dysfunctional president that one sees how dependent the whole system is on one single person. This is unsound & should be changed & modernized.
We should be grateful to Trump for having shown that the US does not have a functioning system of checks & balances. Just as in France, it is only the street that can stop occasional madness.
Trump has also shown us how obsolete or perverted the US constitution has become. This country is in serious need of a modern & viable constitution, clarifying the division of powers, giving all the right to vote & prohibiting semi-automatic guns, etc. etc.
