I'm halfway through the second episode of "Space Force", which has some fun one-liners but mostly groans under tedious writing as Steve Carell can't decide if he wants his character to be a jaded but dedicated senior military officer or Michael Scott in a uniform.
The weird thing is that I can't stop watching, and I can easily see myself going through the whole series. It's oddly watchable despite the eyeroll-inducing moments.
To be fair, I should give a lot more credit to the one-liners, which are pretty great. For example:

[prototype rocket explodes on launch pad]

Carell: How much was that?

Colonel: Four.

Carell: Four million?

Colonel: Four middle schools. It cost four middle schools.
The scene where he says "We're all Americans!" and all the specialists start saying the other countries they're from was a standout, too.
Okay, update: I've gotten through the fifth episode, and it definitely gets better. I'm also realizing that I don't think I've ever seen bad acting by John Malkovich. The man is brilliant.
Fuck Tony: "We have to get inside the President's head and how he thinks."

Dr. Chan: "Okay, I'm the President. I implement new laws. I appoint the heads of federal agencies..."

Fuck Tony: "Holy shit, you're terrible at this."
