Today, @pentropy did a fireside chat 🔥 with @elegantlywasted talking about products, countries, metrics, PMF, twitter, zomato and much more.

It was enriching to say the least! Here are some key points from the discussion -
Indian / Valley Startups

- SF is more focused on the ‘How’ of building products & enjoy a mature ecosystem to utilize Tech as differentiator

- Indian Startup ecosystem is much younger, more ‘Outcome’ focused and efficiently adapts to rapid changes with great speed of execution
PMing in the time of COVID

- PMF has become much clearer, the noise is gone.

- Sectors which have grown rapidly (like edtech) during the pandemic will have to evaluate if they will be able to sustain this growth when things get back to normal and build accordingly
Experiences from @Twitter

- The simpler the product, the harder it is to build and keep

- Keep looking back at the goal that binds the product and company

- Do not become a feature factory
Lessons from Zomato

- Laser focus & speed of execution while sticking to the vision of creating value for customers.

- Teams at @Zomato have autonomy on how to give the best outcome. The bar is set high collectively.
- To solve the issue of Prioritisation, make sure the goals of the company are clear. Clearer the goals, better the prioritisation

- In unexpected times, focus on your strengths and build on what comes organically to you
- Figuring out the optimal number of push notifications is a process which is data driven and based on intuition

- One major change in metrics nowadays is Safety.

- A product shouldn’t become stagnant; it needs to be changed to make user experience better.
Thanks for the sharing your time and your wisdom, Rahul! We learned a lot today.

And, here is a tomato for the product guy from zomato! 😀
