If you can't get out and protest - job, childcare, physical limitations, etc. - remember what I, your agoraphobic pal, always say: every movement needs a secretary. Or 5000 secretaries. We can offer administrative & logistical support. It isn't sexy but it's necessary.
I heard about some older women who have leg and back problems who are sewing boring, plain masks for protesters (to help them not stand out as much in photos for potential blowback from law enforcement/employers). They can't march but they are helping, and that's awesome.
If you're terrified to leave the house but want to help: somebody has to make the spreadsheets, keep the email list going, make a phone list if necessary - BLM has those skills which is why they are so well-organized and effective. Maybe a nonprofit near you would love that help.
Maybe organize a spot outside your house or building with clear water bottles, snacks in Ziploc bags, sunscreen, etc. You don't even have to be out there, you can leave a cooler and put the word out to activists and watch from your window to make sure cops don't take it.
I would bet that if you reach out to Black Lives Matter, or the NAACP, NAACP Legal Defense Fund, Black and African-American students groups at the high school or college, etc. - yes, I know school is out but some kids are organizing through their lists - you could help from home.
Anyway, for info on how you can help from home (even from bed, you don't need a big command center in the basement) check out @NAACP @NAACP_LDF @ACLU @splcenter @amnesty @BlackVisionsMN @RAICESTEXAS and more. You can help even if you don't have money to donate!
Oh also - for some folks who can't go outside but CAN welcome others to their own homes - you can always offer a kind friend of a friend a place to stay or a bathroom to use, etc. I know this thread had big & small things but I think it all helps. It is a reminder for me too!
