We looked at Reddit posts/comments on four themes that have seen a spike in traffic since George Floyd's murder.

• protests
• Black Lives Matter
• police brutality
• riots

There's substantially more protest/riot than BLM or police brutality content.

Most of the recent reddit content related to the Black Lives Matter protests was posted to news or politics subreddits, although /r/PublicFreakout received the largest number of posts/comments. Several gaming subreddits also turn up (/r/ffxiv, /r/DestinyTheGame.)
What media sources are linked from recent Reddit reddit traffic about the George Floyd protests? It varies - posts and comments mentioning protests or police brutality mostly link mainstream media, while those mentioning Black Lives Matter or rioting mostly link far right sites.
Next, we looked just at city/regional subreddits. /r/Minneapolis has the highest share of the traffic, especially in the rioting category. The rioting/looting content is more concentrated in fewer city subreddits than the other categories.
City subreddits have experienced an influx of new accounts offering their perspectives on the protests and related topics . Although some of their commentary seems to be in good faith, most appears to be agitation or propaganda.
Finally, we looked at accounts that posted protest-related content in multiple subreddits. Some of the frequent fliers are things like news feed bots, but some appear to be efforts to spam specific articles or videos to as many subreddits as possible.
More spam. Different accounts push different narratives, but the technique is the same.
Even more spam.
