LRT: One thing that's worth noting, even as it's never surprising, is that no Republican ever CARES about the actual voter fraud that turns up. Because they don't care about the law or rules or fairness, they care about power. "Voter fraud" is code for "the wrong people voting".
Mitt Romney voted illegally at least once. Donald Trump voted illegally last time. There's not even a WHIFF of scandal attached to these things, though. Nobody even asked them to apologize. Not even a symbolic censure. Because it's understood that voting is *for* men like them.
Republicans can just openly admit to having voted at a fake address or even casting two ballots in different places and the world shrugs. Their party shrugs. The media shrugs. The institutions shrug. No one cares.

Imagine if Hillary Clinton did it, though?
And if you get a woman of color who is a former felon who outright says she's not sure if she's allowed to vote and is told well then you cast a provisional ballot so she does and it turns out she wasn't eligible, ooh. Better believe that's prosecuted.
And the thing is, most of this Republican voter fraud that does turn up... it's all really very petty. We're not hearing about ballot box stuffing or substantive cheating (mainly because that's really hard to do!)

It's more them being lazy and assuming the rules are for others.
If you want to see proof of the maxim that conservatives believe the law protects some without constraining and constrains some without protecting, just look at how they treat voter fraud.

They believe a man like Mitt Romney or Donald Trump ought to vote wherever they please.
They believe -- and so far there has been no evidence given to them to disprove this belief -- that voting laws are not there to tell powerful, rich white men which elections they're allowed to vote in, but to keep demographics that don't favor their agendas from voting.
And even while they obviously don't care when people of their race and class break the law to vote, I have a hard time believing they would shrug and move on if it turned out a Democratic national officeholder had done so.
