@killswitch @ugobananas @servicenow See, it's the dangedest thing. I don't think I've heard, seen, or read anything about any homes being burned, anywhere in the country, in cities with protest activity or riots. And not really any home invasions that can be actually connected to any riots.

And yet...
@killswitch @ugobananas @servicenow ...almost everywhere, I've found people who are afraid of home invasions and burnings. Well, maybe not afraid. They seem pretty well-prepared. And it's really not uncommon for them to take a boasting, almost gleeful stance, as though they've fantasized about fighting off invaders
@killswitch @ugobananas @servicenow And I'm very curious about this, because by all indications the existence of this fantasy both predates the current unrest, and also bears no actual relation to it.

I find that interesting.

I've been reading cops on cop forums about the protests and the more I read.

It's not even the super evil stuff.

They just seriously don't get it and don't want to. Like the Buffalo incident. When people question them (other cops, not BPD ones) about it, it's normal to them.
They go, "Well, that was a riot line. The officers were moving in a line to push a perimeter. That's how you take control of space. You can't let somebody get behind you, so if they get in your way, you have to push them."
And it's like, oh, it's a "riot line"? Was there a riot? No, that's what they call it when they feel the need to control space. Why did they need to control that space? Because they wanted.

Here's a thing about if you're worried that some of Trump's supporters will start a civil war if he loses?

Personally, I think they're more likely to do it if he wins.

Because what they want isn't a peaceful victory. They want the war. They want to shoot their "enemies".
If the deplorables who put Trump in office get everything they want without further bloodshed, without firing another shot... they didn't get everything they want because they wanted was more bloodshed and more shots. Those are like the main thing.
Look at that story out of Forks or that neighborhood where the people lined up alongside their actual white fence with guns to "make the rioters behave" and all the people's social media posts where they salivate, masturbate, at the idea of shooting looters at their house.

Hey, so, since I am approaching a thousand new followers after a time when my following was pretty flat for a while, I should let you know that I'm a bit of a curmudgeon and I follow my own ideas about things like following and blocking.
To me, Twitter is simple: follow the people whose content you want to see, mute the people whose content you don't want to see, block the people you don't want to see and don't want interacting with you or the people you RT.
These ideas aren't exactly original or uncommon, but there are enough people with other ideas that I still get messages, after my follower count explodes, asking me why I'm not following back, or why I blocked someone "on my side".
