A THREAD
Marko Grujic
Cost: £5m
His first ever signing. Hasn’t really played for us but progressed well on loan. Hopefully, he gets a chance in the first team next season.
Jury is still out
5/10
Kamil Grabara
Cost: £250k
This seem like business deal to me. I mean, he’s 21, got bags of potentials, never played for us but played so well on loan with Huddersfield. Most likely going to be sold for atleast 10 times the amount we bought him.
5/10
Sadio Mane
Cost: £34m
With him, Klopp continued our clubmance with Soton. The foundation of our success today started with his purchase. With 77 goals in in 4yrs and energetic performances, he has become a club icon in such a short time.
9.5/10
Lorius Karius
Cost: £4m
After battling with Neuer in the Bundesliga, Klopp thought he had bought the next super GK. Pretty much average and costly mistakes in Kiev and arrival of Alisson pretty much summed up his case. Most likely to be sold.
4/10
Joel Matip
Cost: Free
We knew what we were getting when he walked through the Shankly Gates. Pre VVD, we got our best CB since Agger. His frequent drive through the pitch endeared him to the Anfield faithful. Niggling injuries can be annoying though.
8/10
Ragnar Klavan
Cost: £4m
Bought as a back up, less expectations meant less pressure. At 30, his composure on the ball and frequently good displays only made us wish we had him at a younger age. His late winner against Burnley made him fan’s favorite. Sold for £2m in 2018
6.5/10
Alex Manninger
Cost: Free
Only brought in to provide cover for Mignolet and Karius. Never made an appearance but his influence must have been a good thing for the goalies as well as the other lads in the dressing room. Left in 2017
3/10
Gini Wijnaldum
£25m
After his MOTM performance against Liverpool a season earlier, he made Anfield his home. Has easily gone to become one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the world. Loads of memories his goals have brought the club. Barcelona is a living witness.
8.5/10
Mohammed Salah
Cost: £34m
Chelsea flop to Liverpool modern day hero. No one saw this coming. With an astonishing 91 goals in 144 apps breaking EPL record in the process, 2 golden boots, 1 POTY, should I continue? Liverpool legend in making. Easily the best player in EPL.
10/10
Dominic Solanke
Cost: Free (£4m tribunal)
Bag of talents with an extraordinary goal ratio at youth level. Couldn’t break the from three trinity and mostly came on as a sub and only one goal. Sold for a ridiculous £15m profit to Bournemouth 😉 all thanks to Michael Edwards.
4/10
Andy Robertson
Cost: £8m
To think we got the same amount in a separate deal for Stewart, I would consider this free 😂 Solved our LB problem since Riise left. Now the best left back in the world by a mile. He and Arnold has reinvented the fullback positions. ICONIC 😉
9.5/10
Alex Oxlade Chamberlain
Cost: £35m
Personally,I was skeptical about this purchase considering his injury record but despite his long lay off, man has gone from strength to strength and come of age. Memories of the Arsenal youngster with flashes of brilliance are long gone
7/10
Virgil Van Dijk
Cost: £75m
Wowwww. Usually, it’s strikers that makes such impact on a team like he has done since he arrived. Was VVD or no one for Klopp. Bedrock of our success. To be able to highlight his bad games says how majestic he is. 2nd world best 😉. LEGEND
10/10
Fabinho
Cost: £40m
Signed just days after we lost the CL final, seemed like the missing jigsaw the team needed winning the CL in his first season. Slow transition into the side and never looked back since then. Does the dirty work brilliantly.
8/10
Naby Keita
Cost: £53m
Signed him a year earlier to avoid bidding war, arriving with huge expectations after mesmerizing in the Bundesliga, taking on the legendary No “8” jersey. Flashes of brilliance but can’t stay fit.
Jury is still out but vanishing
6/10
Xherdan Shaqiri
Cost: £13m
The man with the opposite career curve. Good performances so far but can’t stay fit. Endeared himself to the Liverpool faithful after coming on as a sub against united and grabbing the game on its neck. Cross against Barcelona up there too.
7/10
Alisson Becker
Cost: £65m
The final piece of the puzzle. Most reliable GK we have had since Reina and hasn’t looked back since then. Has gone on to become one of the best goalies in the world and easily the best atm. Golden Glove in debut season as well. Only the beginning
10/10
Sepp van den Berg
Cost: £1.3m
Touted as the next VVD and only a handful of games. Signed at 17 in a foreign country, needs more time to learn his trade.
Jury is still out
5/10
Harvey Elliott
Cost: Free (Tribunal to be finalized)
Not has a 16yr old shone for a club like Liverpool in recent times. Loads of technique, elegance and poise on the ball, keeps fans on the edges of their seats, this lad is set to become a superstar.
6/10
Adrian
Cost: Free
Easily our best back up goalie in the last 20yrs. Would never had expected to play so much game in his debut season but thanks to Alisson’s injury. Won us the Supercup but threw us out of the CL. If he leaves this summer, good deal, if he stays, good too.
7/10
Takumi Minamino
Cost: £7.5m
After his scintillating performances against us in the CL, was a CR/Man UTD case for this guy. We snapped him up for basically nothing. Hasn’t shown much in his handful apps but hopefully, he would show us what he’s made of.
Jury still out.
5/10
Andy Lonergan
Cost: Free
Just like Alex, he’s in as 3rd choice with loads of experience. Not expected to play any game. Lucky chap to rack up the medals 😉
Jury still out.
5/10
A staggering 149/220 ratings across all 22 major signings made by Jurgen Klopp in 4yrs had led us to;
1 CL
1 SuperCup
1 FIFA CWC
1 EPL (Imminent)
Being tagged “Unbearables”

We are just getting the party started 😉
