UK cabinet has communicated with US govt that lower food & animal welfare standards are now “no longer an issue”.

There’s to be a comms strategy to “win support” for this to be rolled out with UK population starting this week now.

If Boris Johnson really wanted to stop US levels of animal & food standards he would simply insist on it as PM.

In any case here’s Liz Truss yesterday saying no to low standards.

The whole Mail article is clearly a joint Nr. 10/Mail operation to selll US food regulations.

Rishi Sunak position also not as secure as previously thought as major disagreements over economic, China & Brexit policy with Dominic Cummings emerge.
