i mean, this is kinda just...history. i'll give you an example...
in "white flight," @KevinMKruse tells a story about segregated trolley cars in atlanta. black customers had to go to the back. one day, a black man got on after a day of work. he got on the front of the car, but didn't go all the way to the back. he was told to move.
@KevinMKruse he told the conductor he couldn't go to the back because it was packed and he was dirty. going to the back would force him to rub against (white) patrons in his dirty clothes. seems pretty reasonable.

@KevinMKruse which is to say, in the absence of law enforcement, there's a long history of some white man on the scene deeming himself to be the law.

@KevinMKruse the trayvon martin shooting felt like a cop shooting but wasn't but was because, basically, it is implicit in america that the white man is the law if the law can't do it. this should be "you ever notice..." that's a "this has to stop."
