DG NCDC: We had a Zoom Meeting with the State Epidemiologists and their teams last week. They are at the heart of our collaboration with the States; the focal persons of the Public Health Response in every State: data collection, organising reagents, etc.

DG NCDC: The purpose of the call with the State Epidemiologists was to encourage them in the work they've been doing, better understand their challenges, offer solutions, and allow them exchange ideas not just with us but with one another.

DG @NCDCgov, @Chikwe_I: We now have enough reagents to test close to 200,000 samples, across all the Labs in our network. We now really need to work with the State epidemiologists, to collect the samples. #PTFCOVID19
Nat. Coordinator #PTFCOVID19: We are completing the revision of the protocols for evacuation of Nigerians abroad. We are working hard to ensure we get it right, and also make best use of resources available to us, so that the 4,000 Nigerians who want to return home can do so.
Nat. Coordinator #PTFCOVID19: Nigerians returning home will be required to undergo PCR Testing within 14 days of their travel date. They will also be required to, prior to boarding, sign an undertaking to make themselves available for a repeat PCR test within 72 hours of arrival.
National Coordinator, #PTFCOVID19: They will be required to stay in their city of arrival (Abuja or Lagos) for a period of 14 days of self-isolation, at their own cost (this isolation can be at home). There will be supervision by health authorities during the isolation.
Nat. Coord: Nigerian Missions abroad will coordinate & provide clearance for the evacuation.
Emphasis will be on people in challenging circumstances: short term visitors, those on medical and official trips, family holidays, pregnant women, the elderly, & students.

PTF: Change to evacuation protocol. Previous 14-day isolation at Govt-selected hotels will now be implemented as self-isolation, at home or any other place selected by passengers, but within city of arrival. In that period you will not be expected to go out or receive visitors.
