Minister @Sadiya_farouq: The modified School Feeding Programme is funded by @NigeriaGov, implemented by the States and facilitated by @FMHDSD. It is targeted at heads of households, guardians and caregivers of the pupils already benefiting from the @NHGSFP. #PTFCOVID19

Minister @FMHDSD, @Sadiya_farouq: We are not spending N679 million per day as reported by the media. That figure is inaccurate. The take-home rations are worth N4,200 per household, & are planned as a monthly #Covid19 intervention, for 3.1m households in the participating States.

Min @Sadiya_farouq: To reach the households we‘re using the various school registers which contain addresses of all the pupils; we’re also using SUBEB databases. Also, since schools are community-based, it is easy for children to be identified/verified in the various communities.

Minister of @FMHDSD, @Sadiya_farouq: For Transparency we are submitting a full list of all the participating vendors to the EFCC. Note that the Vendors have been on the Programme since inception; they’re not new. We have also invited CSOs/NGOs to help in monitoring. #PTFCOVID19

Note that for this Modified School Feeding Programme, the households of the benefiting pupils are receiving dry food rations, not cooked food. Each household will be receiving dry food rations worth N4,200 monthly; 3.1 million households in total will be targeted.

Payment of @npower_ng volunteers’ outstanding stipends is in the final stages of processing, by next week they will get their payments.
