This is my third time trying to vote. First I applied for an absentee ballot that never came. Same as 4 other people in line near me. Well known issue in the ATL. 1/
Find out there are only 8 early voting locations for ALL OF Fulton Co. 2/
Drive the 25 minutes it takes to get anywhere here. Arrive a couple of hrs after opening. Already 100+ in line. No one’s moved. 3/
Which brings me to today. Voting location opens at 7:00 am. Got here at 7:15. Already 200+ in line.
Brought my 3 Cs of voting - coffee, chair and computer and settle in. 4/
The machines are broken. Again. In yet another Georgia election. In yet another black neighborhood.
We’ve been informed that the Mayor has been notified. 5/
@jennycohn1
Please explain to me how this can happen?
Now saying we will get paper ballots that will be counted today. I’ve no confidence. 6/
Call me cynical but I haven’t heard of probs in white Sandy Springs or Alpharetta. 7/
How am I supposed to have faith that my vote is being counted?

Letting more people in at a time so line is moving now. But of course that makes it more dangerous for spreading COVID_19.
Voting is a right. We shouldn’t have to risk our health and safety to do it. 9/
As I hit my 4th hr in line all I can think about are the millions in this country who are disenfranchised bc they can’t take 4-6 HOURS out of their day to stand in line to vote. 😢 10/
