THREAD: Contrary to what the @GaSecofState is saying, voters in counties across the state of Georgia are paying the price at the polls for his incompetence and malfeasance. Here’s just a short sampling:
.@GASecofState MYTH: Problems were only in Fulton County.
REALITY: In Macon-Bibb, local news reported technical problems with new voting machines, causing delays for voters waiting in line to vote.

REALITY: Also in Macon-Bibb, voters who were given emergency paper ballots received ballots with incorrect races on them:

REALITY: In Chatham County, technical problems meant voters faced long waits and were told to return later; technical support lines were busy, and poll closing hours needed to be extended.

REALITY: In Morgan County, technical problems with new machines caused voting to open late, forcing hours to be extended this evening:

REALITY: In Muscogee County, technical problems with new machines have taken every machine except one out of service:

REALITY: A combined 21 voting locations spanning Clayton, Athens-Clarke, and six other counties did not open on time. The Chair of the DeKalb County Board of elections said “technical issues… are being seen statewide.”

REALITY: In Columbia County, voters were turned away without having a chance to vote.

After 37 Governors took statewide action, @GovKemp decided to order a 10-day-only shelter in place. While this is a good first step, we are looking forward to reading the executive order. In the meantime, here is what Brian Kemp did not address during his press conference:
1. @GovKemp did not fully expand Medicaid, which would save our rural hospitals, create jobs and immediately cover half a million Georgians who are currently uninsured.
2. @GovKemp told renters he was sure their landlords would be “willing to work with ya” if they cannot afford rent rather than sharing assistance resources for both tenants and landlords.

1. Because the Sec of State and State Election Board (SEB) failed to do its job in preparation for the 3/24 primary, they are now forcing #SB463 onto GA’s legislature and passing blame for their failures onto GA’s counties. Here’s one example out of many:

2. #SB463 would remove responsibility from the SEB to ensure counties are complying with federal laws; it could allow counties to reject absentee ballots that do not include copies of photo ID;
