Looking back at some of the projects I've been working on which I still find meaningful (at least as inspiration) - my eventual goal is to curate links and resources in my digital garden, but for now I seem to often email or share links, maybe I should just make a Twitter thread

MA thesis on Open Courseware in China - turns out it was not inspired by western Open Courseware, but more from a historical Chinese institutional context (going back to German/French models of university, via Soviet Union, role of instructors etc).
One useful concept I came up with was "Categorizing OER based on four purposes" - reganmian.net/blog/2010/09/1….
I serialized the entire thesis as blog posts, created versions with alternate layouts, published an EPub/MOBI version, and a raw dump of all my notes from Scrivener/Devonthink. Index: reganmian.net/blog/the-chine… Full Chinese translation and journal pubs.
BA thesis was on community libraries in Indonesia, a striking phenomenon that had not been investigated properly, w/no information available in English. Made whole thesis available in Indonesian, and it has been cited in a number of Indonesian publications eprints.rclis.org/12294/

Last year of undergrad, I discovered @opencontent's open course on open ed - based on wikis and your own blogs. reganmian.net/blog/2007/08/3… twitter.com/search?q=%40op…
After that came connectivist MOOCs, and the inspiration to create P2PU en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P2PU
And now I'm working at @MinervaProject, rethinking undergraduate education from first principles with Minerva Schools, and working with a growing number of partners (online high school, gap year, undergrad scholars program, graduate programs, executive education).
Would love to chat with people about any of the projects above, as well as @RoamResearch, digital gardens (notes.reganmian.net), writing a newsletter (networkedthought.substack.com), thinking about fluid book clubs notes.reganmian.net/fluid-project, Vervaeke notes.reganmian.net/about?stackedP… etc.
