Who owns Patanjali?

At first sight, Acharya Balakrishna owns 98.54% of Patanjali, the 10,000 Cr FMCG company.

Wait, there is more to it. Let's look at the shareholding of these six companies.

You might have guessed it. They are also owned mostly by Balakrishna.

Swami Muktanand is Ramdev's and Balakrishna's buddy at Patanjali Yogpeeth.

Ram Bharat is Baba Ramdev's brother, who is also the director of most of these companies along with Balakrishna.

So, if we do the math properly, the final share holding of Patanjali looks like this.

99.92% of Patanjali is owned by Balakrishna.

Balakrishna is a Nepal citizen, who migrated to India. He forged his degree certificates and used it to get an Indian Passport.

CBI arrested him in 2012.
