#Peacefuls - there is a huge open ground, in front of my home, owned by a retired government employee, nice old guy; few ago, the peacefuls of local domicile wanted to put up a shamiana, for eid prayers,which i objected to, and was surprised at the moral support received from few
neighbours i have; these peacefuls, approached the land owner and wanted to buy it from him[the area is panchayat controlled],and he came to me for opinion[all these happened a couple of weeks ago]; i suggested, that he bequeath the land to his children, after his lifetime -
[ he is a widower] and actually does not want to sell, but the price offered is huge; to cut the long story short he is not going to sell; however, this morning there were people who were cleaning the lands and one of my neighbours who were informed that the owner had sold it to
4. masjid, for building a small prayer hall on the grounds. the owner was contacted and he is away in his village, and these guys wanted me to interfere. i called up the revenue inspector and he came over - the work has been stopped and collectively we have filed a complaint that
an area earmarked as residential plot cannot be used for construction of a place of worship. the peacefuls in the meanwhile had got in touch with their mullahs and local support - the owner has not sold the place nor has he agreed to a sale - they got caught lying. he just
6. arrived a few minutes ago and has agreed to fence of the entire area and with a board that the property belongs to him only and he has no intentions of a sale and/or lease to anyone. the sub collector in a meeting with the local peaceful reps has advised them that they can
forget their idea of building a worship place anywhere in the panchayat in lands earmarked as residential area and public places are meant for common use. my own inference is they will keep quiet for a few months and may rake it up during elections. i have suggested to the
