FREE delivery everywhere with this IT company - this one's good, apart from their use of the very weird 'Mainland' / 'Highlands' thing
this is a fine example of how time and space work when things are being delivered within the UK
I won't be getting my pillows and mattresses from these folk if I ever move back up north!

(now I'm off to begin a ten year research project on the origins and cultural meanings of the term 'UK mainland')

This is a shipping and delivery map of the UK and Ireland, with price structure. I have lots of questions, but mostly about Aberdeen and who they bribed. And yes I am very excited about my new mower.
I imagine someone in Aberdeen said something like 'look, just stick the Isle of Wight in the blue zone and then you'll have space in the green zone for us and we can order loads of 249kg mowers with free delivery'
obviously this is all tongue-in-cheek but I do admit that the phrase 'mainland UK' causes more than a touch of existential discombobulation

Birmingham city centre just happens to fit nicely into one set of Defra Lidar tiles (SP08NE) so I've added this to my Aerialod data tutorial folder (I added a little border and some text as you can see here): statsmapsnpix.com/2020/03/making…
as it says in this one and my previous tutorial, you can click the map to set an area to focus on to create this tilt-shift effect (that's why foreground and background are blurred here)
using the view cube to set the angle is quite a nice way to set it up
