The Boundary Park version of Spot the Difference is out, except it’s with the club accounts after they are republished for 2018. (Still no sign of 2019). The (unaudited) original accounts showed a £5.6m profit, new version shows just a £2m profit #OAFC
The original accounts included £51k of goodwill being written off, new version has no write off.#OAFC
The old version of accounts shows no asset sales, the new version shows property with a cost of £2.9 million being sold. Surely you know whether or not you’ve sold a multimillion pound piece of property? #OAFC Old version says assets in June 2017 cost £2.99m but revised is £3.38m
The original accounts claimed Oldham had cash of £262k but new version it’s only £6k. If you don’t know how much money you have in your bank account to the nearest quarter of a million then it suggests the balance sheet contains more fiction than a Harry Potter book. #OAFC
The old accounts claimed Oldham were owed £1.2m by debtors, new version says it is just £138k #OAFC
New accounts show Oldham long term ‘other creditors’ ⬇️ by almost £7million. Realistically this involves a creditor writing off a sum due to them (or perhaps swapping it for a piece of property?) but no details given. These accounts are as transparent as a brick wall #OAFC
I was asked (& yes I’m only a teacher) to review the accounts in more detail by Oldham fan group. Rejected by club as they’d never heard of me & presumably I’m a Village idiot (which some may agree with) but even I can agree a bank balance to less than £250k difference #OAFC
