∙ Collect emails by creating a waitlist.
∙ Give tastemakers an exclusive preview.

Build excitement by showing momentum during the launch.
Differentiation is free marketing.

@Basecamp's top marketing tip is an original product philosophy. First, they set the frame by explaining why email is awful. Then, they delivered a series of "surprising at first, but obvious in retrospect" features that people want to discuss.
