Short thread on the Indian enablers, defenders, and apologists of Chinese incursions into India. Needless, its foundations were laid by India's first Prime Minister, Nawab Nehru. Little did we know back then that the Red Rose on his dress was the colour of Communism.
Nehru's fascination and addiction with Communism & before China backstabbed India created a huge, flourishing market for India-betrayers at all levels: largely in the academia & media apart from our Communist parties. Let's quickly fast forward.
Remember the Communist villain, V.K. Krishna Menon? Nehru's ultra chamcha. Overnight brought in as a union minister without portfolio. This was the first unconstitutional precursor for backdoor entry. He "won" from North Mumbai because Nehru bulldozed the opposition candidate.
He was made the fall guy for the 1962 humiliation of India by China. Nehru had to be protected at all costs. For the full filthy details, read, Sita Ram Goel's work.
Almost overnight, the papers and talking heads were full on denouncing and blaming Krishna Menon. Communist leaders, media editors, etc were busy defending China on the grounds of...hold your breath...
"the importance of forgiveness & how the newly independent countries should still stay together to defeat the evil capitalist and racist Western powers." Unbelievable no? But check out the archives. 100s of such editorials and columns in all mainstream papers, weeklies, etc.
From one perspective, Indian agents of China are largely following Krishna Menon's template. But in those days, being a Chinese agent was not lucrative or powerful because USSR had cultivated entire armies of Communist traitors within India.
Fast forward. The late U.R. Anantamurthy while holding a government position travelled to China during the Tianmen Square genocide in 1989 along with a bunch of Left academics, etc. In a Kannada essay, he omits the genocide & instead talks about the Communist paradise of China.
The less spoken about a prominent English paper from Chennai, the better.
I distinctly remember an article in the early 2000s written by a former media advisor to V.P. Singh on the 1962 debacle. He BLAMES Nehru for "angering Zhou Enlai," which caused the invasion. Let THAT sink in.
Then there was this (now dead) editor who openly wrote that India should turn more and more socialist to PREVENT future invasions.
One can cite numerous such pieces written by academics, intellectuals, writers, litterateurs, media guys etc. Their number runs in 100s. However, in public, they pretend to be politically neutral.
Their numbers have only multiplied. And with PM Modi's second term and how he has cut off their wings and kirana shops, it's only a matter of time before openly advocating an invasion of India. We've seen what they did during CAA, Shaheen Bagh, etc.
Anyway, this is a short background to my earlier tweet about taking screenshots of tweets, social media posts, etc of these guys. Easily identifiable.
